High School Baseball tryouts are scheduled to begin on Monday March 4th.
The tryouts will run for the entire week (March 4 to March 8).
All 10th, 11th and 12th grade players will report to Wallace for tryouts from 5:00pm-6:00pm
all 7th, 8th and 9th grade players will tryout from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
Plan to arrive at Wallace at least 10 min before your scheduled time so that tryouts can begin on time.

| 2ND FUNDRAISER: ADVERTISING BANNERS |

We have been given the opportunity to provide another fund raising activity. It is the sale of advertising banners displayed along the third base fence at Wallace Field. We are limited to 22 banners, so it will be available on a first come first served basis. The Banners will cost $300.00 each with $100.00 of that amount being applied to your player fee. The banners are 3'x5' and can have up to 3 colors. The banner orders must be received no later than February 22, 2013. Below is a letter to give to prospective advertisers for tax purposes.

Highlander Baseball Patrons
Dear Prospective Banner Advertiser:
Obtaining uniforms, equipment and facilities for a high school baseball program is sometimes difficult or impossible to accomplish with today’s budget. School budgets for sports and activities have decreased and only a small portion of this budget goes to the baseball program.
The Highlander Baseball Patrons (HBP) is an organization created to solicit donations, raise money, complete projects, address shortfalls and rally our community and supporters around the Baldwin High School (BHS) baseball program.
HBP supports BHS student-athletes because we believe:
1. A significant part of a student’s high school experience is participating either
as a player or fan of high school sports.
2. Good sports programs do more for a school than simply providing an outlet for youthful enthusiasm, as they build and teach teamwork, enhance self-esteem of participants and provide a focus for pride in Baldwin High School.
We invite you to participate in one of our projects, the creation of Local Business Banners. Each banner will be a 3’x5’ banner which will be displayed along the third base fence of our home field (Wallace Field). This location is in full view of all Highlander Baseball Fans and visiting teams. The cost to have your business advertised on this large banner is just $300. Not only will your business receive exposure, you will also be supporting the Highlander Baseball Program. If you would like to be a sponsor all we need is your business name, address, phone number and logo (if applicable). Make checks payable to Highlander Baseball Patrons.

Hitting / Pitching / Catching / Position
The Fighting Highlander Baseball Coaches will once again hold its annual winter baseball camp for all interested 7th - 12th graders.
Registration Fee for 3 months of instructions: $100.00
Family Discount Rate (two or more): $150.00
CAMP RUNS: December 3, 2012 thru February 21, 2013
Schedules will be available during sign-ups. Camp is tentatively scheduled to run each week,
Monday - Thursday 5:00-6:30 and Saturdays (time TBD)
REGISTRATION will be held on Tuesday, November 27 from 5:00 - 7:00 and Saturday, December 1 from 10:00 - 12:00in the Wallace Cafeteria (lobby) 41 Macek Drive.

Hello and Happy Holidays!
All tickets for the 15 Nights Out fundraiser have been handed out. If by chance anyone doesn't sell them and turns them back in, Dave Schmitt will call the people on our list to get them the extra tickets.
Remember that all of the money and ticket stubs are due back by January 9. Baseball Boosters will be at Wallace on Tuesday Jan 8 and Wed Jan 9 from 5:00-6:30pm to collect everything.
NOTE: If you have tickets that you can't sell and aren't going to buy for yourself, PLEASE let Dave know ASAP so we are not stuck with unsold tickets.

| 2013 BASEBALL PARENTS MEETING |

The board has scheduled the first parent meeting of the year for the 2013 season. It will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 25th at 7:00pm. We will meet in the LGI2 room at the High School. The only email addresses that we have are for the boys who played last year so if you know of anyone who might be interested in playing baseball for the High School (anyone from grades 7-12) please pass along this info.
